Slayter Brothers #10: Allanah – L.A. Casey

This is almost the last book of the series. This is the happy ending we all want and deserve.

Disclaimer
This book contains erotic material. If you do not feel comfortable with reading erotic stories, I recommend not reading this book. In theory, you could skip over the parts but I do feel that it is very much integrated with the story. There are amazing books out there without explicit materials that I would recommend you check out instead.

The book in short
Alannah Ryan is plagued by an old face haunting her dreams, turning her waking hours into a mess of worry. Talking it out with the person she loves the most isn’t a possibility, not when the same face haunts him, too.
To protect the love of her life from another burden, she keeps her fear to herself, even as that fear begins to consume her.
Damien Slater has the life he always wanted with the woman he adores by his side, but there’s a problem. His woman is keeping a secret, and they swore they would never let another secret come between them again.
Breaking Alannah’s guard will be Damien’s greatest challenge yet as he proves once and for all that he is in it for the long haul.
Alannah admires Damien, and what Alannah admires, Alannah watches over.

What did I think?
The way that Allanah’s nightmares are portrayed is very well done. It was interesting to see the dynamic between Allanah and Damien and what they wanted out of their life. I did like Allanah’s and Bronagh’s relationship. I do feel that Allanah had every right to be a lot angrier for a lot longer but that is simply not the girl she is.

I was so happy for Allanah and her mother when she is cancer free. We see all the other relationships which is so lovely as they are all going strong. I thought the way Allanah and Bronagh got into a fight felt so true to how they are that it didn’t even feel that unrealistic. I love Gavin, he is amazing, and I love his and Allanah’s relationship. It was a very short but a very lovely story to add to the overall story.

I read this book for free with my audible account. My thoughts about the audiobooks, in general, will be discussed in the final review.
