Derry Girls (2018-2022)

When I started seeing a lot of clips of Derry Girls I decided to finally give it a go and watch the series. I finished it in a few days.

My thoughts
Oh, I loved it, it was such a fun and interesting show to watch. It was very light-hearted while also touching upon very serious topics. Watching the civil unrest through the eyes of teenagers was an interesting choice to make.

I also really enjoyed the adults and really felt as if we were seeing a part of their lives. Every single character felt distinct with a flushed-out backstory.

I laughed and shed some tears, I really enjoyed it and the clips didn’t do it justice. If you are looking for a low-threshold show to watch I absolutely recommend Derry Girls.
