A boy called Christmas (2021)
Most of the time when you watch a film after reading a book you feel in a way that it is not as good. That does not come across in the right way. That it feels a bit… well, wrong. For this one though, that couldn’t be further from the truth. If you ever want to know the ‘true’ or at least the most fun story of Santa this one is for you. The story in short
In this origin story of Father Christmas, an ordinary boy (with a loyal pet mouse and a reindeer at his side) sets out on an extraordinary adventure to find his father who is on a quest to discover the fabled village of Elfhelm.

What did I think?
This film is beautiful and amazing in its own right and if I had children I would watch this with them every Christmas. Gosh, I loved this film it was so sweet but also scary at times. it was such an intriguing story. The story and film is just so much fun.
It is one of those where even if you know what will happen, you still worry for this little boy. I loved the bonus of it being told like a story because throughout the book this was also a theme. Without a taught this film is incredible I cannot recommend it enough. This film gave the Christmas vibe in all the right ways.. and the ending? Marvelous, that is all I will say.
