Soup Recipe: Pumpkin
So I love cooking, it’s a big passion of mine and today I am sharing another recipe. This one has been a long while coming. I have had this post on my planner for about 3 weeks but I didn’t come around to do it today it’s here and I hope you enjoy it!
Note: this recipe is for four people
What do you need?
– 1 bottle pumpkin (is that was it is called?)
– 1 apple
– 2 carrots
– 1 orange
– 3 little onions
– ginger
– 2 bouillon cubes (vegetable flavour)
– 1 l of water
– A pan (to cook it in)
– Blender
What to do?
1. Chop all your ingredients. I did cubes but it doesn’t matter. Put the onion and garlic in a different bowl.
2. Put a bit of water into the pan and when it is hot, you can also use oil.
3. Put ginger and onion in the pan. Let that cook on low heat for two minutes.
4. Add the pumpkin and the carrots. Give it a good mix and let that sit for about five minutes on medium heat. Stir from time to time.
5. Then you add the apple and the orange and let that sit for a little bit (two minutes or so)
6. You add the water after that and the bouillon cubes. Crumble them and stir the soup. Let that come to a boil and then put the heat right down and let it slowly boil with the lid on for twenty minutes.
7. Then you get your blender and blend it. Now I put it in my blender which I also use for smoothies and such but mine has a soup setting and can stand heat. So you might want to check with your parents (if it’s their stuff) first if you’re not sure. You can use a hand blender or let it cool off and heat up after blending. (safety first, also don’t blend before you heat it because the pumpkin isn’t easy to blend beforehand
8. Blend that till it’s all soft and a soup consistency.
9. Put it in a bowl or deep plate and done.
There is your dinner, another healthy winter soup. I hope you like the recipe.
Lots of love,
Melissa
